What’s the difference between Al Qaeda and ISIS?

PENTAGON (The Podcaste):  In light of recent attacks and reported plots of Islamic State and previous attacks of Al Qeada, many questions as to the origins and differences between the two groups have arisen. Analyzing US Military situation reports and Defense Intelligence Agency memorandums, the 2 groups are distinguished as follows:

Al Qeuada has been around since the 1980s and worked to consolidate local Muslim militias to fight against Russia in Afghanistan.  After that, Al Queada became a government of it’s own and was relatively aimless after the fall of The Soviet Union.  The main recruiting element of Al Qaedea after the fall of communism was radical Islam and, of course, promising the loving companionship of goats.
