News Overload in the Philippines as the Election Day draws near and the Presidential and Local Campaign reaches its final phase: Headlines- Countdown to E Day: COMELEC leak, Third Presidential Debate Analysis,
Abu Sayyaf beheads a Canadian Tourist and Clarification on Duterte’s Rape Joke. I apologize if you will hear me cussing or saying bad words in English and Filipino due to out of frustration on the issues today.
The brothers start out this episode discussing Rush Limbaugh vs Trump and Trump supporters. In a rare moment for the podcast the brothers defended Hillary from this week’s early headlines.
Then they broke down Snopes reporting and the guys disagreed on how the go-to site for debunking bunk on the internet should handle obvious jokes.
They round out the show by breaking down where they get their news from.
We almost made it the whole hour plus without mentioning he-who-is-always-named, the USA’s Voldemort of the GOP. Tech and Gun have decent mics for this one, buckle up. They discuss the news that isn’t making the news in the US. Brazil is falling apart and Nigeria has a terrible Boko Haram infection that they are trying to keep from spreading.
We round out with Tech finally reviewing movies that don’t involve talking animals.

Fake Tarantino Commercial https://youtu.be/rcXSXvHYUVI – “Isn’t this pandering, which is a spot on parody of what Quentin has been doing, kind of insulting to the subject matter?” – Gun
Jessica Rabbit, cracked https://youtu.be/QgobMBRyqdY – “Yesterday I saw 3 Nikki Minaj videos in a row and I’m like ‘There’s just something on a primal level that’s like; this body-form could make many children.” – Tech 00:46:55
The rage culture is ruining the internet. Gun gets raged at on a forum. The Internet seems to be where polite discourse goes to die. The brothers discuss Rubio bowing out of the race and the possibility of Cruz and Rubio joining up like a Trump destroying Voltron.
Tech comes up with his own conspiracy theory about Trump intentionally throwing the election.
Spammers blur the line between human and machine.Gun interacts with a spammer, Tech explains how the conversation works, and how most people get viruses. They move from there into politics. Neither of them appreciate how America is spending military funds and resources, but they don’t agree on the what and how the military should be run.
Gun reminds us that we can verbally abuse spammers without being culturally insensitive. Obama skips out on attending Nancy Reagan’s funeral to hang out with the cool kids at South by Southwest. One brother is cool with that, the other is conflicted.
We’ve got something special planned for our 100th episode, and as a special thank you for the listeners we have two Steam codes for Pinball FX 2 – one for the base game and the Civil War table and the other for The Walking Dead table. Listen to the episode for the code, first come-first served on the code. If you were the one to download it, tweet us at @thepodcaste on Twitter.
Tech was a bit subdued because he’d been battling a new computer virus all day so Gun rolled with the news. Carson was out, Gun’s vote wasn’t enough to keep him in the race. They break down Trump’s goofy stance on his KKK nomination.
This episode has it all. Gun Sully is back from his world tour, rested and ready to roll, but in the middle of a deluge. Tech Sully is fired up. He is enraged about Trump and Obama pushing for Apple to weaken the security on their devices.
Later Gun defends Hillary from Tech’s rant, and the brothers round out the episode talking about how Kanye’s lyrics are at least as defensible as anything from the grunge era. Tech raves about the track “Famous” from the new album, and pledges to be Kanye’s 2020 campaign manager.
That said I don’t think either brother believes that Taylor Swift is famous because of Kanye at all.
